Who we are

Since 2013, the National Coalition for Human Rights Defenders has played a unique role of coordinating HRDs in Uganda to work collectively in promoting synergy, cooperation and collaboration to effectively advance the protection and safety for HRDs. The National Coalition of Human Rights Defenders- Uganda (NCHRD-U) is guided by the General Assembly, the supreme decision making body. This comprises of all the coalition members and individuals. And it seats once a year to reflect on the progress of the coalition.

The General Assembly is constitited of 149 member organisations drawn from across uganda. The Assembly consititutes itself into an Annual General Assembly to recieve the Annual progress report and financial report Annually.
