Patience Kwizera Mpamizo is a social justice lawyer and human rights advocate with over 10 years’ experience in supporting development programming in the areas of political governance and accountability, human rights, policy research and advocacy. Patience is a skillful, resourceful and results driven professional who has progressively developed expertise in international human rights, with particular interest in international Peace and Security, international and regional conflict resolution mechanisms, environmental human rights law and civil society law.
Patience has acquired considerable knowledge and experience working with different government ministries, departments and agencies to support their interactions with several regional and international human rights mechanisms as well as reporting. Patience also possesses broad expertise in program development, implementation, management and advocacy with a bias towards human rights programing, having worked with and supported a cross section of civil society organizations and Non-Governmental Organizations in Uganda and within the East African region. She is passionate about making a positive contribution to communities through her work and service and has led teams towards successful implementation of human rights and governance programmes.
Patience joins NCHRD-U with a wealth of experience in human rights programming and advocacy and will be a valuable asset to the NCHRD-U team given her fundraising, leadership, organizational and research skills. She brings with her dynamic proficiency in networking and relationship weaving to enhance the growth of the advocacy and public engagement aspects of our work.
