It was an exciting time when NCHRD-U won a grant from the Democratic Governance Facility (DGF) in 2019. When we submitted the concept note and later the proposal, we did not know we would go through. Fortunately, we won the grant.

That grant enabled the Coalition to strengthen its institutional capacity, and give more visibility both for the Secretariat and the work of HRDs through capacity building, and media campaigns, among others. Not only did the grant leverage the Coalition before other development partners, it also gave resilience to HRDs at risk through providing relocation, medical and psychosocial support.
