Applications to National Coalition of Human Rights Defenders Uganda’s orientation workshop for select grassroot organisations in advocacy is now open to organisations in Northern Uganda
Organisations will be carefully selected based on information they’ll provide in their application forms to qualify for the orientation. The orientation is the initial step in working with organisations in Northern Uganda to build their capacity to effectively undertake advocacy campaigns.
The NCHRD-U will ensure that selected organisations get the support they require in a series of planned workshops and practical joint campaigns.
Successful organisations will identify an advocacy issue within their locality and will work towards developing a joint campaign with the NCHRD-U over a period of 6 months. The workshop is made possible with the support of Dan Church Aid Uganda office.
Applicants will be required to show:
- Full secondment by the organisation they’re representing
- Submit an application on behalf of an organisation based in Northern Uganda working to protect and promote human rights
- Willing to partner with the NCHRD-U on joint advocacy campaigns
Costs of the Workshop
All travel and costs of residence will be covered by the NCHRD-U and a logistical note will be shared with successful applicants by Friday 18th February,2022
